SLEMAN - Moving Service Command Post of Election 2019 of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) was crowded by the overseas students who want to participate in elections without having to go back to their villages.

This service post was organized in collaboration with UPNVY with the District Election Committee (PPK) Depok, Sleman. Moving service selects form A5 was held only one day, namely Wednesday (28/2).

The service post started at 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. It was warmly received by students.

Since morning, the service post has been visited by UPNVY students from overseas. It was recorded that around 700 students filled out the transfer form select.

"Students' enthusiasm is very high, because this A5 Corner makes it easy for the students to continue for exercising their right to vote without having to go home," said Markus Kusnardijanto, Head of Sub-Section for Cooperation and Public Relations at UPNVY.

According to Mark, the participation of young generations, especially students in the election, was very important. It is because the progress of a nation was in the hands of youth, one of them got through the participation for the elections. Even though they cannot go home, but still the spirit of using their right to vote indicated that the young generation was very concerned about the future of the nation.

Fakhrunisa, a student from Karawang, West Java, began to deal with the A5 form because she was now starting to actively study. In the upcoming election on April 17, 2019, she cannot return to her hometown because she had to attend a lecture.

"Tomorrow I will choose at the polling station near the boarding house because I can't go home, especially there are also many assignments."

She said that she took  the A5 form because she did not want to lose her voting rights. (wwj / PR)
